Three treasures of blessing are found from heart
On 7 February 2026, Lord Buddha Temple held its annual “Caring Heart Day”, inviting seniors from the Haig Road HDB community to join the celebration. The event aimed to celebrate the Lunar New Year together while sharing warmth and care.
Ms. Diana Pang, Adviser to the Grassroots Organisations of Geylang Serai and Member of Parliament for the Marine Parade–Braddell Heights GRC, was invited as the Guest of Honour and delivered a speech. She expressed her appreciation and recognition for the temple’s long-standing commitment to charitable work. Mr. Tan Chee Wee, PBM, Chairman of Lord Buddha Temple, also gave a speech, thanking devotees and volunteers for their continuous support, and reaffirmed the temple’s dedication to community care and charitable initiatives.
Ms. Yuan Jin, a member of the temple committee and a well-known local artiste, delivered a heartfelt performance, bringing joy to the seniors and earning warm applause. Ms. Diana Pang was also invited to present festive red packets to the seniors, extending New Year blessings.
During the event, committee members and volunteers warmly hosted the seniors—serving food and drinks, and offering kind companionship—demonstrating care and compassion through their actions. The atmosphere was warm and harmonious, filled with a strong sense of community spirit.
The event concluded with a group photo of all guests and volunteers, bringing the meaningful Caring Heart Day celebration to a successful and heartwarming close.
