FAQ

About Buddhas

Q: What should I do when I visit the temple for the first time?

Upon your arrival at the temple, we recommend that you first pay your respects to the Buddhas at the 11 designated stations. You may then offer prayers to the Buddha or monks according to your personal customs and beliefs.

A pack of incense is available for 1 SGD (with 3 sticks for each station).

If you have any questions during your worship, please feel free to consult our front desk staff.

About Monks

Our monk offers various services, including conducting blessing rituals at our temple, such as Car Blessings, Flower Bathing, and blessings for your amulets or Buddha statues. Additionally, he provides guidance to devotees on prayer-related processes.

We recommend that devotees seeking monk blessings wear long bottoms when visiting the temple.

*Please note that the temple has a limited supply of sarongs available.

About Blessing Items

We do not offer blessing lamps for the deceased. We urge devotees to contact us as soon as possible if you have a lamp under a deceased person’s name to change the name or terminate the lamp. Direct family members of the deceased are encouraged to resume lighting any blessing lamps at least one year after the passing of their loved one. However, lighting candles and making offerings to the monks or Buddhas to accumulate merits for them is allowed.

Lighting of your own candles and Crystal Oil in our temple is prohibited due to safety reasons.

We recommend that you take them off at least 10 minutes after blessing.
We recommend that you return them to the temple for handling and processing.
